2026 Junior Development Program - Term 3:

 

At Leadbetter Golf Academy Singapore, our Junior Development Program provides a clear and structured pathway for young golfers to learn the game, build strong fundamentals and progress confidently through each stage of their development.

From Term 3, classes will be organised primarily by skill level rather than age. This allows juniors to learn alongside golfers at a similar stage, receive coaching appropriate to their current ability and progress through our structured Leadbetter Level Pathway.

Program Levels

LGA Kids – Ages 5–7

LGA Kids introduces younger children to golf through fun, active and age-appropriate sessions. Coaching focuses on athletic movement patterns, coordination, balance and fundamental golf movements, alongside early development in putting, short game and the full swing.

Classes are conducted with a maximum 4:1 student-to-coach ratio and will be led by Ashton.

Level 1 – Complete Beginners Aged 8+

Level 1 is designed for juniors who are new to golf. Students learn the essential foundations of the game, including safety, basic setup, club control, putting, short game and full-swing movements.

Sessions combine structured coaching with games and challenges to help students build confidence and prepare for progression into Levels 2 and 3.

Levels 2 & 3 – Developing Golfers

Levels 2 and 3 build on the skills introduced in Level 1. Students continue developing fundamental golf movements while progressing through structured technical and performance challenges.

Coaching covers putting, short game and full-swing development, with greater emphasis on balance, coordination, contact, club control and understanding ball flight.

Level 4+ – Course-Ready and On-Course Golfers

Level 4+ is designed for juniors who are close to becoming course ready or are already playing on the golf course.

Students continue developing their technical skills while learning distance control, shot selection, course management, scoring and how to apply their game in real playing situations. Eligible students may also participate in on-course coaching sessions.

 

Junior Development Pathway

Our Junior Level Booklet maps each student’s progress through Levels 1–10, helping both students and parents understand their current stage of development and the skills required to progress.

The AimPoint Express green reading system is one of the most widely used putting methods in professional golf today. Players including Lydia Ko, Adam Scott and Dustin Johnson rely on the system to read greens more accurately and consistently under pressure.

At Leadbetter Golf Academy Singapore, our AimPoint clinics are delivered by Stephen Moriarty, AimPoint Level 3 Certified Instructor, one of only a handful of Level 3 coaches in Asia qualified to teach the system.
